Introducing Spring to Life
What is your business and where are you based?
I'm a Clinical Hypnotherapist based near Ely and I work with people to help them overcome a range issues such as stress and anxiety.
How long have you been in business and how did your business come about?
I qualified in June 2018. I suffered myself with anxiety and low self esteem in my teens and 20's. I came across hypnotherapy in 2010 and first studied the application of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes back then and realised what a powerful tool it was. It really helped me and I wanted to help others too. It's great that mental health is getting more awareness and I'm 100% invested in supporting this.
What is your role in the business?
I got into what I do to help people but quickly realised running a business involves a lot of different things. I love what I do and am continually learning, not just about hypnotherapy but also all that is involved in running a business. So I guess the answer is a bit of everything!
Who are your typical customers?
People come to see me when they're struggling with something in their life that's holding them back. Most often I see people with anxiety issues but have worked with helping people presenting different challenges.
What do you love most about being in business?
I absolutely love seeing the positive transformations my clients go through. I am with my clients on their journey and invested in giving all that I have to help them. It's extremely rewarding.
What are the biggest challenges you face or have faced in your business?
There's a lot of misunderstanding about hypnotherapy and often gets confused with stage hypnotism which is entirely different. I cannot make anyone do anything against their will. It's very much about working with a persons own resources to bring about positive change, aligning the conscious and subconscious mind.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I'm currently studying the application of hypnosis to aid fertility and would like to expand my knowledge to help women on their maternal journey from supporting pregnancy through to post natal mental health. Being a Mum of two I very much understand the need in supporting women/couples through this journey.
What’s the best bit of advice you can give to other business owners?
To keep focused on your purpose and not to give up. We all have skills and experiences that can help others. You're worth what you have invested your time in creating/providing to others.
Finally, where can we find your business and how can we connect with you?
