What is your business and where are you based?

My business provides Eco Friendly Cleaning Services to homes/businesses using environmentally friendly products and steam cleaning methods. I am based in Somersham in Cambridgeshire.

How long have you been in business and how did your business come about?

I have only recently set my business up after being off work due to both my daughter and I having a serious health condition last year and not wanting to return to my job.  I wanted the flexibility to fit hospital appointments/tests etc for my daughter around my working hours.

What is your role in the business?

I run my business on both the admin and cleaning side.

​

Who are your typical customers?

Professional’s that work full time and don’t have the time to clean their homes and elderly people who are not as able as they used to be.

What do you love most about being in business?

I love that I can actually make a difference to people’s lives ...albeit small.  It is a good feeling knowing you have done an amazing job and that you are appreciated.

What are the biggest challenges you face or have faced in your business?

As a new business I haven’t had many challenges as yet as I am keeping on top of everything, but I guess in time I may be too busy and not have enough cleaning hours available to potential clients.

Where do you see your business in 5 years?

Hopefully within 5 years I may have a couple of reliable and professional cleaning operatives working for me.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to other business owners?

Believe in yourself and what you are providing ...whether that is a product or a service.  Also treat other people as you wish to be treated.
